This past month, Kin has made a significant leap towards the evolution of its ecosystem via further legal clarity that the Kin Token is not inherently a security, added support for Kin on MEXC, a global exchange with millions of active users worldwide, welcomed Jesse Cecchetto to lead marketing communications, completed developments surrounding Kin SDKs, saw new Apps join Kin, selected 5 winners from the Solana Hackathon, and was mentioned as a key proof point for Solana’s growth in a Motley Fool article.
This past month, the Kin Foundation focused on the continued development of the technical tools and resources needed for our Kin developer community and to support the next stage of ecosystem growth. In our previous newsletter, we announced the new Kin Web Wallet, Web SDK and React Native SDK, these tools completed their final beta testing phase and will be released publicly within the next few days. Additionally, the Unity SDK and Flutter SDK have completed development and are now in private beta testing so these are almost ready for release as well. If you are interested in helping test these new SDKs, make sure to reach out to @beeman_nl. The Kin developer community also published new tutorials for Python, Go and iOS and Kik Engineering released an updated timetable for the technical roadmap. We can’t wait to see what our Kin developers build!

Welcome back, developers! Let’s start with a short recap to everyone up-to-date. It’s been quite a busy month for both Kik Engineering and the Kin Foundation as each continues to push forward on their key initiatives. Kik’s main focus is their Technical Roadmap published earlier this month. The ultimate goal here is to clean up the SDKs and improve tooling to get them in a place where they can easily be handed over and maintained by the Kin Foundation. The Kin Foundation is continuing their focus on growing the Kin Ecosystem and attracting Developers to innovate with Kin. As mentioned in the last Kin Developer Report, one of the earlier initiatives was the “Listening Tour” which aimed to listen and understand the pain points of the past so that they can continue to iterate and improve. More on this in the following sections.
