A Standalone SDK-less Starter Kit For Kin Developers
Recently, we launched a tutorial on the ‘SDK-less’ implementation of Kin that enables developers to be eligible for rewards from the Kin Rewards Engine (KRE) without needing to use one of the official Kin SDKs. This is particularly suited for crypto-native apps which already connect directly to the Solana Blockchain to undertake transactions.
One advantage of SDK-less transactions is that you can have users sign their own transactions from their own wallets (e.g. Phantom, Solflare). You can see SDK-less in action in our Kin DApp Playground app.
To make it even easier to get started with this ‘SDK-less’ approach, we are now excited to release our new Kin DApp Demo!
The Kin DApp Demo is a lightweight SDK-less implementation based on the Solana DApp Scaffold that allows you to execute the following functions:
1. Airdrop Kin on the Solana Devnet
Easily earn some Devnet Kin so you can test your application.
2. Create Kin Token Accounts
Create Kin Token Accounts so your users are able to receive Kin.
3. Send Kin and earn via the Kin Rewards Engine (KRE)
No matter what you’re building, The Kin DApp Demo is a great starting point that will help you get up and running (and earning via the KRE) by utilizing SDK-less transactions as quickly as possible.
